The eclipse will begin at 6.24pm (BST) but will not be visible until sunset in the UK at 9.13pm.

Welcome to all creative Cambridgeshire photographers to Cambridge Darkroom2, welcome to our social ‘mash up’ for those interested in all things photographic! Cambridge Darkroom embraces a diverse group of creative interests bringing together a mix of individuals, large and small firms who share a love of photography.

Cambridge Darkroom2 has been set up by Dominick Reed, Marine Barbaroux and Paul Smith. Please come and join us on the last Thursday of each month at the Arts Picture House in Cambridge. The Lowry has curated a new exhibition from award winning, internationally renowned photographer Nadav Kander, featuring work that has never been exhibited before, including striking images of Eric Cantona and Cheryl Cole. Other works exhibited for the first time include photographs that were part of a sensational shoot with Tinie Tempah for The Observer magazine this February, and head shots of Take That for their latest album, Progress.

To tie in with the Contemporary South African Photography exhibition - this shows feature the work of documentary photography David Goldblatt.

Photographer David Goldblatt has explored the social landscape of South

Africa since the late 1940s. In 1987, he generously donated a large collection of his work to the V&A. The display

will present a selection of these images, focussing on the later years under apartheid rule.

Deustsche Borse Photography Prize 2011

For this year only the Prize will be exhibited at Ambika P3 at the University of Westminster. Now in its 15th year, The Photographers’ Gallery’s annual prize of £30,000 rewards a living photographer, of any nationality, who has made the most significant contribution to photography in Europe, between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2010.
