The Myth of the North

The Myth of the North celebrates the vibrancy, humour and unique identify of the region is packed full of work by famous photographers including; Bill Brandt, Humphrey Spender, John Davies, Martin Parr and Shirley Baker. Their work along with photography from The Manchester Photographers' Survey will be displayed within a series of life-size installations of a Northern house, streets, seafront and shop.

Global Youth Photography Competition

In association with the UN's International Youth Day Shoot Experience and Plan International, this competition is open to all 11 - 24 year olds across the globe - just upload photos online line or send by post. The theme is governance - a detailed brief and terms and conditions is available on line. Prizes include an international trip, top of the range digital SLR camera and the chance to feature in the Shoot Nations Exhibition in 6 international cities.
