The Lowry has curated a new exhibition from award winning, internationally renowned photographer Nadav Kander, featuring work that has never been exhibited before, including striking images of Eric Cantona and Cheryl Cole. Other works exhibited for the first time include photographs that were part of a sensational shoot with Tinie Tempah for The Observer magazine this February, and head shots of Take That for their latest album, Progress.

To tie in with the Contemporary South African Photography exhibition - this shows feature the work of documentary photography David Goldblatt.

Photographer David Goldblatt has explored the social landscape of South
Africa since the late 1940s. In 1987, he generously donated a large collection of his work to the V&A. The display
will present a selection of these images, focussing on the later years under apartheid rule.

For this year only the Prize will be exhibited at Ambika P3 at the University of Westminster. Now in its 15th year, The Photographers’ Gallery’s annual prize of £30,000 rewards a living photographer, of any nationality, who has made the most significant contribution to photography in Europe, between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2010.

London Street Photography

This major new exhibition at the Museum of London showcases an extraordinary collection of London street photography with over 200 candid images of everyday life in the street. From sepia-toned scenes of horse-drawn cabs taken on bulky tripod-mounted cameras to 21st century Londoners digitally ‘caught on film’, explore how street photography has evolved from 1860 to the present day. Examine the relationship between photographers, London’s streets and the people who live on them, and reflect on the place of photography on London’s streets today as anti-terrorism and privacy laws grow ever tighter.

Twilight at the Museums 2011

A great opportunity to take some unusual photographs.

If you have ever wondered what happens in a museum after dark, find out on Wednesday 23rd February 2011 between 4:30 and 7.30pm, when you can enjoy a special evening of torchlight trails and family activities at a host of Cambridge's best museums.
